Catch Up

Dear Baby B,
I have been horrible at posting all the things that have happened the past month or so, so I thought I would play catch up in one post. First off, last month we went to Hawaii with Grandma and Grandpa Tawzer, Karissa and Craig, and Chiami and Zack. Yes you were the only kid and you loved soaking up al the attention. Before we left I was worried about the long airplane ride but once again you amazed me and did great. We got you a digi player on the plane and let you watch some cartoons. It is so funny how much you love watching movies but I am thankful for it sometimes when I need to shower, get ready, or clean the house. You absolutely loved Hawaii. We bought you your first pair of sunglasses and you would not take them off. You looked so cute in your pink shades and swimming suits that you soon became the talk around the hotel pool. You LOVED swimming in the pool and even took your first swim in the ocean. You went on your first boat ride and did great. You had your first taste of virgin lava flows, shaved ice, and yogurt. It was such a fun trip and having you around made it even better.

On July 2nd you turned 7 months old. Time has gone by so fast and I wish I could keep you little for a longer period of time. I have loved every minute of being your mom. You have brightened our home and always keep us laughing.
At seven months you
- Love to laugh at mommy
- Babble a lot
- Sleep through the night
- Love to play with other kids
- Sit up by your self
- Started getting your first tooth
- Love to look in the mirror

We love you and can't wait for all the fun things to come.
Love always and forever,
Your mom

6 Month Appointment

Dear Baby Brooklyn,
Yesterday we had your six month check up and you are doing amazing. We found you a wonderful new doctor in Portland. Your doctors name is Aishwarya Deenadayalu and she works at the Northwest clinic of Metropolitain Pediatrics. You had to get some shots in your leg yesterday which you absolutely hate. After you get shots you don't feel good for the next two days. The doctor said you are one healthy baby .

I am so grateful we found you a doctor who really seems to care about children. I am so happy you continue to grow and be healthy each day. You are such an amazing little girl Brooklyn.

6 MONTHS

Dear Brooklyn,
Happy half birthday. You are six months old today and to celebrate I bought you a new outfit and more bottles :-). I can't believe it was six months ago you were born. The past six months have been the best six months of my life. You have brought so much joy and love into our home.
At six months you can sit up on your own, roll over, and babble up a storm. You have no teeth yet but I think you might be in the teething process. You only have a little bit of hair on the crown of your head. Lately we have putting it in a little pony tail with a bow on it. Your hair is a light brown color but the hair that is growing in seems to be more blonde. You have dark brown eyes and every where we go people comment on how beautiful they are. You are one of the most beautiful babies I have seen. You are also a very easy baby. You hardly fuss (except for lately... teething I hope). You Love to be held facing outward so you can see what is going on around you. You love to eat baby food and whatever mommy and daddy are eating.
Brooklyn I Love you and can't believe you are six months old. It has been a learning process for the both of us but you have been patient with mommy through it all. Since you were born the whole world seems to be a better place to me. You love when I sing to you and tickle your face, we have so much fun together. You laugh really hard at some of the faces and sounds I make. I can't wait for all of the memories we have to come. Remember always that I love you to the moon and back. You are amazing Brooklyn Jane and your father and I love and appreciate you.
Love forever,
Your Mommy

Ba..Ba..Ma...Ma

Yes it is official, you have become a babbler. Just this week you have gone from your regular long held out ahhhhhh to babbling. One of the first things you have started to say is MaMaMaMaMa. I know you don't know that Mamma is what I am called but, I could not be more excited about your new babbling word. Overall your talking has picked up a ton this week. You are constantly babbling and keeping your dad and I entertained. Now we need to work on saying DaDa.
You and scout are becoming better friends as you get older. You have gone from ignoring each other to thinking scouts fur is a toy. He likes to lick your face, hands, feet, and well pretty much anything he sees.We are trying to teach him not to nibble on your cute little hands but you don't seem to mind it that much. I think you two will have lots of fun as you get older.
I love you Baby B. I am so grateful to be your mommy and I hope you always feel the love that I have for you.
Love Your mommy.

Brooklyn Jane

Dear Baby Brooklyn,
I can not believe how fast 5 1/2 months have gone by. It seems like just yesterday your dad and I welcomed you into this world. I have loved every minute of being your mommy and look forward to all the years that are to come. You were born in Logan Utah, on December 2, 2010 at 1:07 P.M. You weighed 9 lbs 5 oz and were 21.5 inches long. You were a big healthy baby and right away everyone wanted to kiss your sweet cheeks. Dr. Fowers was the doctor that delivered you and Dr. Horkley was your pediatrician, they were wonderful men who took good care of both me and you. We have now moved to Portland Oregon for your dad to go to dental school, so we are currently on the hunt for new doctors.
I can not begin to put into words the joy you have brought into our lives. You are a very sweet baby with a great temperament. Since you were born you have always slept well through the night. You hardly cried as a newborn unless you were hungry and you still rarely cry unless something is wrong. You bring sooooo much happiness to everyone around you. You smile all the time and people feel the special spirit that our heavenly father has given you. You are a daughter of our heavenly father and I know that he loves you deeply and has special things in store for you in your earthly life.
So much has happened in the past 5 1/2 months since you were born. You are developing immensely each day and I get extremely excited every time you do something new. In fact, just last week on May 11, 2011 you sat up for the first time on your own. You are also beginning to role from your back to tummy more often. One of the cutest things about you is your laugh. You get a deep belly laugh going and than you do a squeak at the end. I can not get enough of your laugh and the way you scrunch up your nose when you get excited. You have such a fun personality and your dad and I love all the time we get to spend with you.
