Dear Baby Brooklyn,
I can not believe how fast 5 1/2 months have gone by. It seems like just yesterday your dad and I welcomed you into this world. I have loved every minute of being your mommy and look forward to all the years that are to come. You were born in Logan Utah, on December 2, 2010 at 1:07 P.M. You weighed 9 lbs 5 oz and were 21.5 inches long. You were a big healthy baby and right away everyone wanted to kiss your sweet cheeks. Dr. Fowers was the doctor that delivered you and Dr. Horkley was your pediatrician, they were wonderful men who took good care of both me and you. We have now moved to Portland Oregon for your dad to go to dental school, so we are currently on the hunt for new doctors.
I can not begin to put into words the joy you have brought into our lives. You are a very sweet baby with a great temperament. Since you were born you have always slept well through the night. You hardly cried as a newborn unless you were hungry and you still rarely cry unless something is wrong. You bring sooooo much happiness to everyone around you. You smile all the time and people feel the special spirit that our heavenly father has given you. You are a daughter of our heavenly father and I know that he loves you deeply and has special things in store for you in your earthly life.
So much has happened in the past 5 1/2 months since you were born. You are developing immensely each day and I get extremely excited every time you do something new. In fact, just last week on May 11, 2011 you sat up for the first time on your own. You are also beginning to role from your back to tummy more often. One of the cutest things about you is your laugh. You get a deep belly laugh going and than you do a squeak at the end. I can not get enough of your laugh and the way you scrunch up your nose when you get excited. You have such a fun personality and your dad and I love all the time we get to spend with you.
